Sr ArchitecTural DRAFTER/Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced full time Sr Architectural Drafter/Project Manager with 5-10 yrs residential Architectural Drafting experience & 4+ yrs leading a team of Drafters to join our collaborative team of highly-creative design professionals.

ROLE TASKS:

The Sr. Architectural Drafter works with the Principal and Sr Project Manager to schedule and create construction documents and specifications as they direct and review the work of a team of drafters. They take responsibility for meeting project delivery timelines for construction documents of 3-5 projects at a time. They coordinate with engineers and may coordinate the creation of construction documents with an outsourced drafting firm. They develop drafters’ capabilities and assist them in achieving their career aspirations. While holding team members accountable, they empower a team of drafters to make independent decisions and take a collaborative approach to getting the work done.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-10 years architectural drafting experience coordinating multiple projects

  • 5-10 years of experience creating residential construction documents (4+ years doing CDs for projects with a classical design style preferred)

  • 4+ years leading a team to create CDs

  • Highly proficient in Revit

  • Highly experienced in preparing site plans, landscape plans (in coordination with landscape consultant), demolition plans, floor plans, building elevations & sections, reflected ceiling plans & finish schedules, interior elevations, schedule plans, detail plans, structural drawings (in coordination with engineer), electrical drawings, and specifications

  • Very experienced in residential building code requirements (experience within municipalities along the Wasatch Front preferred)

  • Very experienced in residential construction and installation methods and construction materials and finishes (residential construction experience a big plus)

This position will require the candidate to manage multiple projects and evaluate and determine how to best keep projects progressing while managing client expectations. Position allows for limited ability to work from home and requires candidates to regularly commute to the office and to job sites.

COMPENSATION:

ArchitecTural DRAFTER

We are seeking a full time Architectural Drafter with 3-5 yrs residential architectural drafting experience to join our collaborative team of highly-creative design professionals.

  • Highly proficient in Revit

  • Experienced in residential construction and installation methods and construction materials and finishes (residential construction experience a big plus)

  • Experienced in preparing site plans, landscape plans (in coordination with landscape consultant), demolition plans, floor plans, building elevations & sections, reflected ceiling plans & finish schedules, interior elevations, schedule plans, detail plans, structural drawings, electrical drawings, and specifications

  • Experienced in Lumion or Enscape preferred

Sr. Interior Architectural Designer

We are seeking an experienced full time Sr. Interior Architectural Designer with 10+ years of experience in residential interior design creating interior elevations and design detail plans (4+ years doing classical design projects) and 8+ years leading a team of designers to create interior elevations and design detail plans to join our collaborative team of highly-creative design professionals.

THE RIGHT FIT: 

As an ideal candidate, you will bring your passion for the aesthetic and emotional impact of holistic classic design. You will build out and professionalize the capability of the interior architecture design team and processes, increasing the predictability of delivery and depth of quality to interior architectural design & detail plans. You will have exceptionally compelling classical conceptual interior design talent (expert hand-drawn artistic skills will be a big plus). You will be confident & approachable, authoritative & collaborative with clients, with the ability to make personal connections with them.

You will be intrinsically motivated and naturally eager to create a narrative that best articulates what each client is drawn to with interior architectural designs that capture and express the feelings they've found difficult to articulate. You will be highly adaptable and thrive in an environment that can be demanding with rapidly changing deadlines and requirements. ROLE TASKS:

The Sr. Interior Architectural Designer collaborates with the Architect and Project Manager to design the interior architecture, holistically building on the design intent of the exterior to capture, articulate and express the client’s feelings. They direct and review the work of a team of architectural interior designers. They meet project delivery timelines. They create interior study and design mood boards, hand-drawn interior renderings, interior 3D models, interior elevation plans, interior design detail plans, and select & specify permanently affixed materials/fixtures.

They present to and interact with clients and collaborate with third-party interior designers to source and order materials that meet the design intent and specifications. They develop architectural interior designers’ capabilities and assist them in achieving their career aspirations. While holding team members accountable, they empower a team of architectural interior designers to make independent decisions and take a collaborative approach to getting the work done.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of experience in residential interior design creating interior elevations and design detail plans (4+ years doing classical design projects)

  • 8+ years leading a team of designers to create interior elevations and design detail plans

  • Highly experienced in capturing the interiors program along with the emotional intent of clients

  • Exceptional hand-rendering skills

  • Proficient in Revit or Chief Architect (Deep proficiency in Chief Architect is highly preferred, but not required)

  • Very experienced in interior design development

  • Very experienced in creating interior mood boards

  • Very experienced in creating interior elevations & design detail plans, and interiors specifications

  • Experienced in preparing and delivering conceptual presentations to clients

  • Experienced in residential construction materials and finishes (residential construction experience a big plus)

  • Experienced in sourcing and ordering materials

  • Experienced in 3D modeling (Revit highly preferred. Sketchup, or Chief Architect a big plus)

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

We are seeking a full time Architectural Designer with a bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent experience (master’s degree is a plus) with 3-5 years of experience designing classical projects (3+ years designing classical residences) to join our collaborative team of highly-creative design professionals.

You will have exceptionally compelling classical conceptual design talent (expert hand-drawn artistic skills will be a big plus). You will be confident & approachable, authoritative & collaborative with clients, with the ability to make personal connections with them. You will be intrinsically motivated and naturally eager to create a narrative that best articulates what each client is drawn to. You will bring clarity and focus to clients as your designs capture and express a feeling that they have found difficult to articulate.

ROLE TASKS:

The Architectural Designer works with the Principal to lead out in the conceptual design process as they direct and review the work of a team of designers. They capture and express the design intent, create design presentations, monitor project design development, and provide design direction and support to ensure consistent, high-quality design. They coordinate with Project Managers, produce renderings, models, conceptual design boards, as well as interior and exterior design details.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture (master’s degree is a plus) or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of experience designing classical projects (3+ years designing classical residences preferred)

  • Able to capture the emotional intent of clients in the program

  • Exceptional hand-rendering skills preferred

  • Experienced in site placement

  • Experienced in design development

  • Experienced in 3D modeling (Sketchup, Revit or Chief Architect) a big plus

  • Experienced in preparing conceptual presentations for clients

  • Experienced in residential building code requirements

  • Experienced in residential construction, installation methods and construction materials & finishes (residential construction experience a plus).

This position will require the candidate to manage multiple projects and evaluate and determine how to best keep projects progressing while managing client expectations. Proficiency in Chief Architect or Revit preferred, but not required. Position allows for limited ability to work from home and requires candidates to regularly commute to the office and to job sites.
